What we collect
When you send a quote request — through the form on this site or the quick-quote popup — we collect:
- your name, phone number and email address
- your vehicle, if you tell us
- the services and add-ons you select, and any answers you give in the popup
- any message you write
- the page you submitted from, and the page that referred you
- a one-way hashed version of your IP address, used only to limit spam
We do not store your IP address itself. It is hashed before it is saved, and the hash cannot be turned back into an address.
Why we collect it
To reply to your request and give you a quote. That is all. We do not sell your details and we do not share them with anyone outside the shop.
Where it is stored
In this website’s database, and in an email sent to our staff so we can respond.
Cookies and tracking
We do not use advertising cookies. The quick-quote popup uses your browser’s session storage to remember that you closed it, so it does not keep reappearing on the same visit. That information stays in your browser and is never sent to us.
Embedded content
The map on our contact page only loads when you click “Load map”. Until then, nothing is requested from Google. Once loaded, the embed is subject to Google’s own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests until you ask us to delete them. Email info@dautogarage.com and we will remove your details.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will action it.
Changes
